Way too many single-storey, mid-century City Beach residences have been bowled over and replaced with bloated McMansions. However, this new residence simply and unequivocally demonstrates that one can re-build yet still retain the modernist aesthetic. It works perfectly with the coastal dunes, big blue skies and beachside lifestyle. We love constructing oregon-board concrete feature walls, organic-shaped skylight recesses, suspended slabs and details that highlight the beauty of concrete.
